We assist members with a wide range of employment and workplace matters - including advice, representation and support in dealing with your employer. While we cannot provide financial advice or act for members in workers’ compensation claims, we can offer general guidance and connect you with the right resources or external support.

Our Expertise

AIPA’s five-person Legal and Industrial team brings together extensive experience across employment and industrial law, union advocacy, and regulatory and employer environments.

All team members are qualified lawyers with current NSW practising certificates.

This broad expertise allows us to approach member issues from multiple perspectives and deliver practical, informed and outcome-focused advice that reflects the best interests of pilots.

Collective Representation

Beyond individual member support, the team plays a central role in enterprise bargaining - providing strategic advice, legal guidance and training for pilot bargaining representatives.

We help ensure that every agreement recognises the professionalism, skill and essential contribution of pilots across the Qantas Group and the wider aviation industry.

Through this mix of individual support and collective advocacy, the Legal and Industrial team protects and advances the interests of all AIPA members.
